Woke up with a really stiff knee and without rebuttle from Turbo I got the room again for another night. We laid in bed all morning making our food bags lighter. We watched documentaries and I ended up faking a 3 hour nap and woke up around 3 and we went to figure out what we could make for dinner from what was at the gas station. Before we left for the store we jumped in the pool and went out on the paddle boat. We make chimmy changas and Mexican soup for dinner and watched more tv before passing out for the night.

Woke up and laid around a little before heading up the rock wall up front of us. Then went over a few hills before getting to lemon squeeze which Turbo and I were actually able to fit through with our packs on. Then there was a climb that was bigger than I was tall and Turbo had trouble getting up. Once he got up there I kind of chimmyed up the tree off to the side and Turbo pulled me up the rest of the way. The rest of the way was alright just up and down a lot. The water was awful we were thankful for the jugs of water left at the roads. We refilled twice. Someone out there has saved my life 3 times with water left at the trail heads. Please keep it up. The good trail giveth! Got to the shelter and looked at the map and realized that in order to hit the zoo on time we have to stop here for the night. Plus the next shelter had no water and was .6 off trail. At the same pase as the group again. Probably won't last long though. I don't want to do 20+ miles again.
Woke up and ate what little food I had left and headed for town. Up and down Bear Mtn was beautiful! Stairs were standard for houses and I didn't even get out of breath going up. Lots of day hikers were staring at us. We went through the zoo and the black bear exhibit (lowest place on AT) had a cinnimon colored bear. Apparently black bears can have mutations in color and be cinnimon, black, or white. We walked through both the forts. When we got to town we headed straight for the pizza place. The pizza in NY has been amazing. We ate almost a whole large pizza leaving only 2 slices. We hadn't done laundry in 2 weeks and the only place in town to do it was the holiday inn express. So I decided to spoil us since we had no idea when there would be another chance to wash. We went in the suana and I had my first tick. I'm guessing because of the 200 degrees the tick died as it was trying to bite me. I felt a bite but when I picked up what I thought was a speck of dirt off my skin it was dead. I could barely even tell it was a tick. Deer ticks are tiny! Thankfully it wasn't in my skin. We went swimming for a little while then I went to the room and took a shower and laid around watching tv while Turbo did laundry and downloaded music to his mp3 player. We drank almost 2 2 liters of mountian dew and went to sleep really late.
Woke up and ate our breakfast and then headed back to bed before packing up. We went to the gas station which was the only place to resupply and got some food. The selection was very scares. We headed out of town across the huge bridge and straight up a huge hill. We past a lot of lost dayhikers. Turbo had the rest of the mountian dew so he was practically running up the hills. We ate lunch at a deli and the rain only sprinkled while we were inside and cleared up for the rest of the day.
