.3 miles (3 in town doing errands)
Woke up around 9 and were screwed over to stay another night at the Holiday Motel. I would never recommend anyone to stay there ever. We walked across town with our packs and resupplied without any funny business. We then ate McDonald's in big fancy chairs and walked all the way across ttown again. Jolly, Clark, Sparklefeet, and Gary joined us in a flash dance out of town to the cemetary to camp for the night. I had some great conversations with Gary. Gary and Sparkle feet are very free people and very experienced. They've both done a lot of hitch hiking and lived in many very cool places.

After a night with a random cat we found. She hung out with us all night and slept outside the corner of our tent. (Her hair was sticking into the tarp.) She had also obviously recently given birth but she was very small and skinny. We heard about a free hiker feed/ party at The Captians house. (Which we according to the map we had to zipline across a river to but it really only was a seat that was hooked up on a pully system to pull yourslef across the river which was quite a task holding poles and your pack.) We pumped out 20 miles pretty easily. It was a surprisingly easy day. There were signs that someone had put on the trail leading you to the party that said things like "keep going!" And "you're almost there!". Once we had gotten across the river we got sodas and waited on our burgers that were on a huge grill. They must have cooked 50 burgers. A lady tried to fight me because she was so drunk. She said I gave her an ugly look and I explained to her about how a lot of people say that and I dont mean to but she didn't seem to get what I was saying to her. She told me that 'if there's a problem we can go to the parkinglot'. I couldn't help but laugh in her face because she was so drunk she didn't understand the situation she was putting herself in. She then later asked my name and she told me 'I don't like your name. You should find a bettter name for yourself. My name is Cadey. C-A-D-E-Y or you can call me blue because I like blue.' At this point I was like okay crazy lady and walked away in the middle of the conversation. The Captian had a live band for us and we also got baked potatoes. The band was halarious and we also met John's (my parents neighbor) dobbleganger. He was wearing the Appalachian suit. Spot on. Hopefully the band will run out of songs they know how to play soon because its sleeping time!
Very tired. I slept great last night. Imbenjoying being with a.group again. I grabbed a book from a guy that was about to throw it in the fire. Its Mr. Murderer by Dean Koontz. Maybe it will be entertaining.
Tomahawk and Dr apparently threw up a lot last night. We went really slow and took lots of breaks. Im getting very unmotivated to hike. Were camped near a road that has bullet holes in the sign. Bad weather is supposed to b coming tomorrow. Hopefully it won't be too bad. Were going to be a 18' wide tree tomorrow. Im so tired.

Woke up early because of an annoying yapping dog. Blackest out going up the 1st climb. I don't really remember the walk up I just kept walking until I got to the top. I was thinking really hard about stuff and it went by really fast. The walk today reminded me of GA. The way we were cutting into the mountian was very similar. We passed a memorial site doe a WWII vet it was quite interesting. People had left all kinds of trinkets at the site. Going to the four pines hostel tomorrow. Clean body here I come.
Woke up pretty late and hauled ass down the mtn to 4 pines. We immediatley jumped into the dragon van and went down to the store. When we got back we decided to ask for the bed in the back since no one was on it. We started to set up and the drunk couple got pissed at us since they said they had been there all day. I didn't understand how we asked for it first if they had been there all day and were concerned with getting that bed. We sat around all night in the hostel while it stormed really bad. The husband of the drunks got really wasted and became really aggressive. He threatened to kill Dr. just because he asked what he had said when he came outside and almost broke the bench when he sat down and mummbled something. I didn't sleep at all.
Woke up, pack our things up and prepared for our first slackpack. I wasn't too excited about doing that many miles. We got to McAfee Knob and took tons of awesome pictures. We tools lots of breaks anand saw tons of powerline views. We got into town pretty late and ended up sleeping on the floor again. Ugh. Im really frustrated. Night.
Woke up and started to adventure around town. We walked down to the outfitters and Turbo and I grabbed some Wendys but I started to not feel well. I decided sitting outside the outfitter was a better idea just in case. When we got back to the hotel I started to throw up just about every hour. I took it easy with everyone else around the pool before I fell asleep on the end of one of the beds. Later in the afternoon after eating dinner with Tomahawks mom Turbo started to get sick too. Turbo was up for most of the night getting sick and I fell asleep super hard.
Woke up around 9 and turbo was still getting sick and I was very queezy and shakey from not being able to keep anything down except some water before I fell asleep. We went down to breakfast and turbo had some orange juice and I drank 2 cups of orange juice and a small muffin and had to lay down again. We later hit up Kroger for some chicken and turbo 1 Leicester of chicken and we laid down for a couple more hours before heading to troutville for the fake trail days they were putting on. They were charging so we didn't stay around long before we went to the bar acorss he street. They group all drank and Turbo and I ate salsa and chips and enjoined the soccor game on tv. We then came back to the hotel and hung out around the pool with our big group. We started to feel better just a little weak. Farewell to Jolly who broke his foot and is going home. :/ Laying in bed for the rest of he night and hiking out tomorrow. I think we beat norovirus quite easily.
