TONS OF CATERPILLARS
Woke up on time and started early still sore from yesterday, the ridge walking was a little tough. Pushed through the majority of the day then ate lunch at Jenkins shelter 10 miles int our day. Got to the road pretty easily after that we washed upin the river and relaxed and chilled with 2 section hiker dudes. Getting to bed early tonight will be nice. I'm definately ready to get a shower. It's been a week and a half since I washed my hair.
1 frog in mug that was mud colored
Woke up super late and didn't sleep good. Got to Bland, VA around 3 for a little bit of a resupply before Trent's Grocery tomorrow. We ended up walking the 3 miles into town because no one would pull over and give us a ride. We got to the IGA and it had been closed due to Asbestos. There was a prisoner outside the IGA with a weedwacker and no one watching him. We went down the street to the gas station bought snacks then hitched with a church group that has 2 support vans. Fot to the shelter at a decent time only 1 mile out of town. We could still hear the HWY. Tomahawk and Dr. caught up with us and we had agrand time catching up. Happy to be with a group again.

Woke up at around 7:30 and left with little water. On the way to the shelter that had water (9 miles) we passed through a gap that had 3 deer carcasses. We assumed it was pouchers. Later we went to trent's grocrey and nothing was working. We were told that the showers were cold and the dryer didn't work. The food was a little expensive. 2.19 for a can of pringles. We decided to not wash there and just hike onto the waterfall. Bummed about not getting a real shower we got to the waterfall and I immedgiately took my shirt off and jumped in. Washed with my camp soap and cleaned my shorts and socks. I finally got to comb all my hair out and now it's grown down to the small of my back. All the guys started jumping off/doing flips the falls into the water. It was an awesome night!

Woke up a little late and packed up and chilled on the rocks beforewe got going around 12. We went the 1st 9 miles in a single file line. Dr., Tomahawk, Turbo, and me. We got to the shelter in about 2 hrs and we chilled and ate snacks. Blasted up the big up listening to Asking Alexandria, Slayer and Emmure. The thunder was scary but it only drizzled a little. Turbo and I took a couple of short breaks then got to the shelter around 6. Slanted tent spots tonight.
Got into town around 12 and all of the room in all the hotels/motels were booked. I think mostly because way too many people are living in the motels. We crashed with Jolly and his brother Clark for the night. The room had shag carpet and looked like where the strippers go to get killed. We visited with Cheer Up and her room looked like a decent hotel room. We charged our things, took showers, and did our laundry. We hung out with everyone and went to the Mexican place for dinner. The motel double booked tons of people and they put out mattresses on the balconies and had people sleeping there for 20 bucks! We reserved a room for the next night but they double booked over that as well and had to give us our money back instead of telling the guy they reserved the room for second that they didn't have a room for him. Probably the trashiest place I've ever stayed. Everyone that works here looks like a meth head and they all just live in the rooms. Plus the computer sucks and it won't let me upload my pictures. Hopefully I'll figure something out soon. I have a ton of pictures.
