Wow. Today was amazing. We woke up ate breakfast and fit 10 policy plus a dog in an explorer and headed to Katahdin Springs. We got our day packs, signed in, and managed to get Benny in as a service dog. The climb up to Katahdin was gradual then turned to huge rocks we had to scramble and climb up. Hand over foot we climbed up to the false peak and there it was off in the distance. As we climbed up the last mile you could hear the cheering of thru-hikers making it to the sign. It became so real so fast. The emotions hit me like a brick wall. I was so overwhelmes with excitement that I ran to the sign. After touching the sign I was sobbing. It was such a beautiful moment. Never on this trip did I actually believe I would make it. I didn't think I would ever see that sign. But yet there I was with Turbo on the mountian we had been walking to for 6 months. The bonds I've formed with people are like no other friendship. Were a family aand id never take back any day I spent on the trail.
